  • ACH Processor/Bookkeeper (Fremont) (Full-time)

    We are currently seeking an individual who is a self-starter and a go-getter. A team member who will deliver the “WOW” experience and build positive relationships. This person will be responsible for performing any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining customer accounting records.

    Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and every third Saturday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Process ACH Origination files for accuracy and process in a timely manner;
    • Process ACH Corrections on any origination entries;
    • Process incoming Notification of Change Entries and informing our ACH Origination companies if needed;
    • Process Returned ACH origination entries accurately to the offsetting account(s);
    • Process ACH Prenotes sent to us;
    • Verify if any duplicate checks posted and correct accordingly;
    • Verify the Source of Funds on Official checks;
    • Record any ACH Origination Files to be monitored or exceed their ACH Limit;
    • Prepare and verify all ACH Contracts for ACH Originators at least annually;
    • Maintain ACH Company profiles are accurate;
    • Process monthly billing for ACH Companies;
    • Verify request for balance information for AVS-SSA;
    • Verify signatures on checks attempting to clear for greater than $2,500 (High Dollar Alerts)
    • Verify if deposits are made to Health Savings Accounts that are being held in cash items;
    • Process Dormant accounts and/or Official Checks;
    • Process monthly billing Remote Deposit Capture.

    Duties Performed by all Bookkeeping Personnel

    • Perform the duties of NSF Processor, Customer Service Rep and Back Office Rep as needed.
    • Assist customers with inquiries pertaining to their accounts;
    • Assist customers in the reconciliation of their accounts;
    • Correct customer activity by electronically posting/erasing transactions;
    • Process refunds for non-sufficient fund charges, return charges, stop payment orders or any other miscellaneous charges;
    • Assist in accurately scanning all daily teller activity;
    • Process daily outgoing mail and deliver to the Post Office;
    • Process Analysis Statements and distribute to appropriate personnel;
    • Print and Distribute any Bank statements that are to be processed by the Bank. (Hold Stmts);
    • Perform the duties of eCommerce Representative as needed;
    • Assist in resolving eCommerce issues in a timely manner via telephone, email or in person.
    • Certify CD’s/DVD’s from CSI are readable and send confirmations of such to CSI;
    • Process of utilizing Centerview disks to retrieve customer statements and items in a timely manner;
    • Process of retrieving customer information when issued a subpoena in a timely manner and recording and filing the information;
    • Order foreign currency online;
    • Other tasks as assigned.

  • Teller - Main Office (Fremont) Drive Thru (Part-time)

    We are currently seeking a part-time teller to provide prompt, efficient, accurate customer service while giving a warm welcome as the face of the Bank. This position provides an individual, with a non-traditional schedule, the ability to work in a culture that will provide growth and development. Responsible for balancing all financial transactions performed during work shift.

    We’re looking for people who want more than just a job – we want people who want to make a difference in the community where we live and work! The teller position is a great way to get a glimpse into the broad world of finance and banking. Tellers are responsible to project a professional image in dress, manner and communication and must also comply with all bank policy, regulations, and laws.

    Hours: Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 4pm-6pm. Every Saturday. Saturdays rotate between the Main Drive 7am-1pm and the Main Office Lobby 8am-12pm. Some additional hours may be available. Hours not to exceed 30 hours.

    • Process customer transactions, including receiving deposits, verifying cash and endorsements and issuing receipts, installment loan payments, making withdrawals, cashing checks, scanning work and providing customer account printouts and open consumer and business deposit new accounts.
    • Prepares cashier’s checks, money order’s, gift cards as requested.
    • Balances transactions at the end of the day and verifies cash totals.
    • And other miscellaneous duties as needed.

    We are currently seeking a part- time teller, bilingual in Spanish and in English preferred, that will operate a teller’s window by providing prompt, efficient and accurate customer service while representing the Bank in a courteous, professional manner. Responsible for balancing all financial transactions performed during work shift. Tellers are cross-trained on opening new accounts once a mastery of teller skills have been demonstrated. This position plays an essential role in finding the right solutions to meet customers’ needs.

    Becoming a teller is a great way to get a glimpse into the broad world of finance and banking. Tellers project a professional image in dress, manner and communication and must also comply with all bank policy, regulations, and laws.

    Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and every Saturday 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Some additional hours may be available. Hours not to exceed 30 hours.

    Essential Job Duties:

  • Floater Teller/New Accounts (Fremont) (Full-time)

    We are currently seeking a Floater Teller/New Accounts Representative that will operate a teller’s window by providing prompt, efficient and accurate customer service while representing the Bank in a courteous, professional manner. This position will also serve as a back-up to New Accounts as needed, performing a variety of customer service. This includes opening new checking, savings and certificate of deposit accounts, closing deposit accounts, answering questions from existing and prospective customers, and answering and transferring calls. Work is varied in nature with changing priorities. This position is full-time with an expectation to work 40 hours per week and every other Saturday.

    Reliable transportation is required. You will travel to any of the First State Bank & Trust locations. You will predominately travel between our Parkview Office, Downtown Office, Main Office and our Walmart Office. You will occasionally travel between our Arlington Office and Blair Office. You will relieve tellers who are absent in whatever capacity at the location needed and work the hours of that location. This position requires extensive knowledge of all teller operations and flexibility in the performance of teller duties. Exercise independent judgement in some instances under limited supervision.

    • Balances transactions at the end of the day and verifies cash totals.
